AgriPhage™ Bactericide

AgriPhage is a bacteriophage product used for biological control of bacterial spot and speck on tomatoes and peppers. Bacteriophages are known in layman’s terms as “bacteria eaters.” They are highly desirable solutions for bacterial diseases, because of their environmentally friendly profiles and because of the resistance bacterial diseases have developed to traditional disease control products.

A bacteriophage mixture, AgriPhage is highly specific and only kills specific species of bacteria: Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria and Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato. AgriPhage is of low risk to other “good” bacteria, beneficial micro flora or fauna. It is a viable alternative to synthetically produced chemicals that can leave behind unfavorable residues.

AgriPhage is exempt from Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs), has only a 4-hour re-entry interval (REI) for farm workers and is NOP approved for use in organic agriculture.
